Operations Team
As CEO and President, Glen oversees all strategic operations of the business, including its regulatory and legal, sales, marketing, and revenue departments. He leads Rainmaker’s global team of financial representatives and remains deeply involved in investor and client partnerships. Glen is co-founder of Rainmaker Securities, launching the company in 2010.
With nearly three decades of proven excellence, Glen is a seasoned institutional equities professional, holding roles at Oppenheimer & Co and Jeffries & Co, focusing on public companies in the mobile device, telecom infrastructure, enterprise networking and digital media sectors. Immediately prior to his career in investment banking, Glen worked in the venture capital industry in Europe and the hedge fund industry in Chicago.
Glen has additionally been a technology and organizational strategy consultant to organizations such as the New York Stock Exchange, Sprint Wireless and Comcast, as well as working as an engineer in the advanced computing business at IBM and in Motorola’s mobile devices business, supporting the design of revolutionary products such as the Motorola StarTAC and the Multiple Application Phone – the world’s first “smart-phone”.
Glen holds a B.S. Magna Cum Laude in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University, an MBA with Honors with an emphasis on finance and entrepreneurship from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, pursued international studies in finance at St. Gallen University in St. Gallen, Switzerland, and is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Private Equity and Venture Capital Executive program. Glen holds Series 7, 63, 79, 86, 87 and 24 securities licenses.
Dominic is the primary supervisor of all Rainmaker registered agents. He also manages all legal engagements of the firm and implements the firm’s written supervisory procedures. He is also responsible for developing efficient workflows and compliant processes, leveraging IT systems whenever possible. Dominic graduated with honors from the University of Missouri, where he earned his JD/MBA while teaching business law & ethics to undergraduate students. He was also an editor of the Missouri Law Review. He holds FINRA Series 79, 63, 24, and 27.
Prior to joining Rainmaker Ken worked with Deutsche Bank designing a strategic platform solution for their user built cross divisional metrics reporting. Previous to Deutsche Bank, Ken worked as Executive Director at Goldman Sachs managing the Structured Products Services team supporting and implementing new issuance platforms and technologies for structured trades and fund products for Goldman Sachs and their clients. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Ken worked as a Senior Portfolio Manager helping Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW) exit their ABS portfolio. Ken started his career as a Product Manager at IHS Markit (bought by S&P) where he built data and technology driven trade settlement products for Credit Default Swaps on indices (ABX, CMBX) and the single name market in both the US and Europe.
Ken is also the founder of Cascata Ventures Limited a company helping clients with system migrations project, implementing new systems and upskilling staff to new tools and technologies.
Ken holds a B.S. in Physics from UCLA and is also an avid skier, surfer, kitesurfer and traveler.
In addition to his work with Rainmaker, Greg is the founder and Managing Director of Archer Venture Capital a venture capital fund focused on emerging IT and digital media investments. Archer has investments in early stage, growth stage, secondary and employee stock option loans. Prior to founding Archer, Greg was a partner with Redpoint Ventures in Los Angeles. At Redpoint, Greg focused on early-stage technology opportunities and has led investments in consumer internet, social media, mobile applications, cloud computing, business services, digital media and communications companies. He is currently a Director/Observer of Leadpoint, Sovrn, Wedgebuster, BetheBeast, and Impact Radius. Greg led investments in SquareTrade (sold to AllState), 2U (TWOU), TrueCar (TRUE), TrueX (sold to Fox), Networks in Motion (sold to TSYS), Alacra (sold to Opus), TelASICCommunications(sold to MTI), SimulaLabs (sold to Exist Labs), Webvisible(sold to The Berry Company) and SOA Software (sold to RogueWave) and was actively involved with Redpoint's investment in MySpace(sold to NEWS). Greg is also co-founder and Chairman of BetheBeast, an advisor to Swoop and ConsumerDirect. Previously, Greg was an investment banker with Donaldson Lufkin and Jenrette's Technology Group and before that, with Smith Barney where he focused on cross-border M&A and financing transactions. Greg is a past board member of the Los Angeles Venture Association (LAVA) and an Advisory Board member of the Tech Coast Angels and the San Diego Venture Group.G reg is a Carter Scholar from the Anderson School of Business at UCLA. Greg also holds a Bachelors of Commerce degree, with concentrations in Information Systems and Accounting, from the University of Calgary. Greg holds Series 7, 63 and 24 securities licenses.
Kirat has been staffed on several capital raises, created research deliverables on numerous later stage startups, works extensively to support Rainmaker's operations team and aligns buyers and sellers in the Pre-IPO secondary marketplace. Kirat holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering & Management Sciences and a minor in Economics from Northwestern University. He holds Series 7,24,63,79, 86 and 87.
